CAST Implementation Specialist – As an Implementation Specialist, Jen Dee supports educators in their use of Universal Design for Learning to provide the best learning experiences for a wide variety of students. She coaches teams of educators as they work to bring the principles of UDL to life in their classrooms, schools, and districts. Prior to joining CAST, she worked as a high school special education teacher and Teach for America corps member in Chalmette, Louisiana. In this role she supported students with a wide variety of learning, social, and emotional differences in their studies of algebra, geometry, and pre-calculus. She also coached a running club at this school, and ran her first half marathon alongside her students through Youth Run NOLA. Additionally, Jen has experience working in preschool programs for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, programs for dual language learners, and programs for children experiencing homelessness. In her spare time Jennifer enjoys running, spending time with her niece, and watching the Boston Red Sox.

CAST Implementation Specialist – Ari Fleisher facilitates and manages CAST Institutes, and supports the Professional Learning team with operations and staffing. She has seen learning environments come alive in and out of classrooms through her work with curriculum, school climate and culture, and social-emotional learning. Ari believes that UDL can help to deepen students’ excitement about discovery, and is thrilled to be spreading the word of UDL to help set students (and educators) up for long-term success. CAST Implementation Specialist – As an Implementation Specialist, Heather Francis collaborates with educator teams to facilitate the application of UDL in the education field. With a background in educational neuroscience and special education, Heather is passionate about working with researchers and practitioners to create more inclusive learning environments for all students. Heather enjoys reading, cooking, and traveling with her husband.
Dr. Robin Hall has served as Executive Director of the Regional System of District & School Support, Region 4, since 2001. Prior to her leadership of R4SDSS, she was a classroom teacher for twenty years, worked as a site – and district-level administrator, and provided accountability and categorical program guidance and assistance at the county office level. She earned a M.S. in Educational Leadership at CSU East Bay, and in 2005, after completing a dissertation on the impact of publicly funded intervention and support programs on low-performing schools, earned an Ed.D. at St. Mary’s College.
Tammy Heflebower, EdD, is senior scholar at Marzano Research. She is a highly sought-after school leader and consultant with vast experience in urban, rural, and suburban districts throughout North America, Europe, and Australia. Dr. Heflebower has served as a classroom teacher, building leader, district leader, regional professional development director, and national trainer. Kelly Wylie, Region 4 System of District and School Support Program Director, is a veteran educator with over 20 years of experience. Prior to her work at R4SDSS, Kelly had been a middle school administrator, an instructional coach and a classroom teacher. She provides expert practitioner technical assistance in the areas of Professional Learning Communities, Accountability, Multi-tiered System of Supports and ESSA; having presented at the national, state and local level.
